An Essence Portrait is not about resemblance.

It is not a psychological analysis, nor a symbolic system.

It is an artistic translation of presence.

Through conversation, observation and intuitive painting, I explore what someone communicates beyond words — a rhythm, a quality, a movement of being.

The result is closer to an emotional map than a traditional portrait.

How the process unfolds

A calm, 20-minute conversation in person or online. We share a cup of tea, you tell me a bit about yourself, and I simply listen and observe. No pressure, just a shared moment of presence.

Translation

In the studio, I translate the essence of our meeting onto paper. Through a mindful process where mathematical structure meets the fluid unpredictability of watercolour, your presence takes form through colour, light, and gesture.

Portrait
